Every other person wears them at the shows here and I am starting to see people wear them in the training jumper classes. Tsk, tsk.
I totally commend you for riding in that kind of cold!! I am ashamed to say I whine if its 40s here!! Did you see that Under Armour has gotten into riding gear?Amy @ Diary of a Horse Obsessed Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17310154143848077322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7234412011504408480.post-89983572681817993632013-10-02T23:00:34.951-04:002013-10-02T23:00:34.951-04:00I guess it's the rider's version of wind i...I guess it's the rider's version of wind in their hair? Definitely not something I would do for a show! I know it's jumpers, but come on, there is still value in a polished look, no?

I have a few tops that look somewhat similar to that one. Mine is actually made for cross-country skiing but I quickly seconded them to my riding wardrobe. If I layer one over a merino wool base layer, I can ride in just that to minus 17°C(1°F) (I don't usually ride if it's colder than that). No bulk, breathable, technical clothing. I don't see anyone else around here doing it but they should, rather than wear big bulky clothes that they overheat and can't ride properly in.
