Live Streaming Galore

Last week was so fun to watch the live streaming of the Pre-Green Incentive Championships then the Derby Finals!  Trainer M finished top 12 in the Pre-Green Championships!  It was a fantastic ride but the green bean did one animated change that I think she got penalized for.  Her other mount didn't make finals but still finished top 60.  Out of 150+ horses competing, still not shabby.

The Derby never fails to disappoint even this jumper rider.  I enjoy watching the handy rounds especially.  Liza and Brunello had a well deserved win.  I heard some people saying on social media that Jennifer and Jersey Boy were better.  I thought Liza found the distances better and was a bit smoother.  What did you think?

The ponies were good this weekend.  We took it easy due to the heat.  This week is forecasted to be hot too.  After that its time to get Ms. Poppy back in shape. Sept 18th is our next show.

I am trying one last ditch effort of having a trainer come to my house today and ride Luxxx. If it doesn't work out then I will take him to K's barn for trainer N to ride. I live about 45 minutes from trainer N and they have a huge show barn so it's just not feasible for her to come to me.  So fingers crossed the new lady works out.  Don't get me wrong, sending him to N is not a bad thing but I would miss out on getting to watch.  That's really important to me with Baby L.

  2. Congrats to Trainer M! For the first time in years I didn't watch the finals... I slept through it! And Its understandable with baby L. I know I love to watch Libby go, but it might be better for both of you. On the flip side, you'll probably have a whole new mature horse when you get him back!

    1. It's different with my other horses, I have sent them to her no problem. With L I have experienced most of his firsts so I want to continue that.

  3. I agree -- I thought Brunello's round was just a bit smoother overall, especially when I got to watch tem side by side afterwards!

  4. Congrats to your trainer! I personally like Jersey Boy better, but thought Brunello's round was stunning. Never been a Brunello fan since I saw him stop at the WEF finals in 2012, but every time I've watched him since then he's been stellar.

Honestly, I thought the judges penalized Inclusive's swap WAY too much... but I'm a huge Inclusive fan. To me, you just can't beat his jump.

    1. I agree, I love Jersey Boy and his style far better. I just found a couple things to pick at on his round where I couldn't with Brunello.

  5. Congrats to your trainer! That's really awesome :)

The whole subjectivity of the Hunters is why I permanently left Hunter Land: too much politics and it's far too dependent on how a judge is feeling about a certain horse on a certain day, not necessarily the best ride. That ambiguity isn't appealing for me, and I'd take jumping clean against the clock any day! Granted, the Pre-Green Incentive horses are amazing, but Hunter Land is too political for my taste :)

  6. Huge congrats to your trainer, those are some super spiffy placings for the numbers in that class!
The Hunter world is completely lost on me as i have never come across such competitions here - but i totally admire the riders strive for perfection!

Best of luck with Luxxx & the potential new trainer, fingers crossed all works out for you to keep him at home. Otherwise - roadtrips & photo shoots of schooling rides please ;p
